The Smith Motor Wheel and the Briggs & Stratton Motor Wheel were used on the popular Smith Flyer Cyclecar and the colorful red Briggs & Stratton Flyer Cyclecar. In addition these Motor Wheel's were used on many bicycles in the 1910s and 1920s.

The A. O. Smith Company bought the manufacturing rights to the Wall Motor Wheel in 1914. The A. O. Smith Company then produced the Smith Motor Wheel for use on American made bicycles and a Cyclecar called the Smith Flyer. The Smith Motor Wheel was a single cylinder air cooled one horsepower engine that sold for $60.00. The Smith Flyer sold for $135.00 and was equipped with the Smith Motor Wheel.
