The Clark Motor Car Co. was established by John D. Clark along with A. J. Thurston and Joe Akers.

The Shelbyville, Indiana made Clark was a medium priced American Automobile produced from 1910 to 1912. The design of the Clark automobile was typical for the early 1900s. In 1912 the Clark Motor Car Co. was sold to Maurice Wolfe and the Clark was renamed the Meteor.

The Clark 30 Model A shown below was a four passenger open Touring Car priced at $1250.00. The body was made of aluminum and had a fine leather interior. The body was mounted on a 114 inch chassis with 34 inch x 3 1/2 inch wheels and tires.

The Clark 30 Model B shown below was a two passenger two door Roadster also priced at $1250.00. Both the Model A and B were equipped with water cooled four cylinder Rutunber engines rated at 30 horsepower. A selective type sliding gear three speed forward and reverse transmission was used in the Clark automobiles.

Additional specifications included a cone leather faced clutch, the brakes were internal and external on the rear wheels, the rear axle was a semi-floating type, I beam front axle, Schebler model D carburetor and Remy type S ignition. Color of the Touring car was Russian blue with battleship grey gear. Color of the Torpedo Roadster smoke with battleship grey striping.

Prior to the Meteor and Clark, Maurice Wolfe was connected with The H. E. Wilcox Motor Car Co. The company produced an American Automobile called the Wolfe that he designed.
