1917 Eagle Macomber Roadster The Eagle Macomber rotary engine was manufactured in several sizes. A small 12 horsepower engine was so light that it could be carried by one man. The engine ran smoothly even on loose mounting at 1500 RPM.
1917 Eagle Macomber Rotary Seven Cylinder 50 Horsepower Engine The entire principle depends on a revolving angle plate with connecting rods affixed. The combustion in the cylinder forced the connecting rod back against the angle plate. Since the plate was on an angle it would have a tendency to turn away from the motion of the connecting rod. This resulting in turning of the drive shaft.
