1922 Detroit Air Cooled Touring Car In February of 1922 a D. A. C. Touring Car prototype appeared at the Detroit Auto Show and in December a Sedan was exhibited in New York and Chicago. Very few D. A. C. automobiles were made. The DAC Phaeton model sold for $1,250, the Touring Car for $1,700, and sedan $1,750. Bodies for the D. A. C. were specially designed out of aluminum and made by John McArthur in Detroit.
1923 D. A. C. Phaeton The D. A. C. was equipped with a six cylinder engine. It was a interesting development in air cooled design with a staggered Vee arrangement of six cylinders. The design permitted air to be directed to each cylinder in equal volume and at the same temperature.
