The Eagle Automobile Co. of Rahway, NJ produced an American Automobile called the Eagle in 1905 and 1906. A five passenger Touring Car was the only model offered by The Eagle Automobile Co. during the brief two years the company was in existence. The special features of the Eagle was that it was of simple design, with extraordinary long frame and spacious body.

The eagle automobile had a 110 inch wheelbase and the usual standard 56 inch tread. The rear axle was a Weston-Mott chain driven live axle fitted with hub brakes. The front axle was also made by Weston-Mott. Wood artillery type wheels 30 inches in diameter and were fitted with 3 1/2 inch tires. The frame is equipped with full elliptic springs in the rear and semi-elliptic springs on the front.

1905 Eagle Touring Car

The change speed gear was made by Champion and had three speeds forward and reverse. The transmission used combined sliding and planetary gear type. The transmission shaft was connected to the engine crank by through a universal joint. Power was transmitted to the rear live axle through a 1 1/2 inch chain.

1906 Eagle Touring Car

The Eagle was equipped with a air cooled four cylinder vertical engine rated at 20-24 horsepower. Shown below this engine had four inch cylinder bore and a four and one half stroke. The gas and air mixture was furnished by a Breeze carburetor. The gas tank was located under the front seat. Ignition current was supplied by two sets of dry batteries and the spark was produced by means of a quadrople vibrator dash coil.
