In 1899 and 1900 the J. M. Quinby and Co. produced an Electric Automobile called the Quinby. Only a very few Quinby Electrics were built and those were built to order using components from the Riker Electric Vehicle Co. of Elizabethport, N.J..
1899 Quinby Electric Carriage After 1900, J. M. Quinby and Co. turned to coachwork making light weight aluminum bodies for other American Automobile company's. Building bodies and horse drawn carriage production continued up till 1917.
1910 Quinby Auto Body Ad The above 1910 advertisement mentions "Sole Agents In The U.S. For The - Isotta Fraschini - Made In Milan, Italy." Isotta-Fraschine was a famous worldwide Italian luxury car manufacturer starting in 1904.
