Another American Automobile with a short history. J. M. Ellsworth of New York, NY built the Ellsworth only in 1907. The Ellsworth was a Runabout with a T-head overhead cam shaft four cylinder engine. This car offered a choice of shaft or double chain drive with it's four cylinder engines. A four speed transmission was used.

In this 1905 advertisement American Automobile offered for sale included Peerless, Oldsmobile, Winton, Gale, Toledo, Cadillac and White. Prices range from $296.00 for an Oldsmobile to $2000.00 for a 1904 Peerless. Dyke even sold new engines and frames and engines less the body.
