This early two passenger motor buggy had a 79 inch wheelbase and solid rubber tires. Only a few Eureka motor buggy's were made by The Eureka Motor Buggy Co. of Beavertown, PA. This American Automobile was not connected to the Eureka produced in St. Louis, Missouri, or the Eureka produced in Rock Falls, Illinois, or the Eureka produced in San Francisco, CA all about the same time. Sometime during 1909 the The Eureka Motor Buggy Co. was reorganized into The Kearns Motor Buggy Co by the new owner, Maxwell Kearns. He retained the Eureka name as shown in the 1909 magazine ad below. However the engines was upgraded to a three cylinder two cycle 18 horsepower air cooled with friction drive and by 1910 the Eureka name was changed to Kearns.
1909 Eureka Model "L" - The Kearns Motor Buggy Co. We are looking for early Eureka automobile photographs or vintage Eureka advertising for this web page. In the mean time enjoy this Kearns Motor Buggy Co. ad from a vintage 1910 magazine. Note that the Eureka automobile and the Kearns automobile look just alike and the features are the same.
