Frank J. Fanning was president of the F. J. Fanning Mfg. Co. He produced the Fanning an American Automobile in Chicago, Illinois from 1902 to 1903. The Fanning was a two passenger runabout as a standard body style, but a four passenger tonneau was also available. It's engine was a nine horsepower two cylinder and a single chain drive.
