O. M. Farner of Streator, Illinois orginized The Farner Motor Car Co. and built an American Automobile that was named after him. The Farner was an assembled car on a 115 inch wheelbase using a six cylinder Falls engine and standard components.
Very few Farner automobiles were produced.
In 1923 O. M. Farner reduced his 1922 Farner automobile price by $100. By year's end he had left town, abandoned his troubled company and his wife and two children. He didn't return to his family until 1938.
