Chevrolet Bel Air & Impala
Chevrolet Division of General Motors
Chevrolet had a distinctive rear tail fin and tail light treatment with its 1958 models. When other American Automobiles were going up with vertical tail fins Chevrolet's look was called a gull-wing. The 1958 Chevy had a dream car look with sculptured body styling and a new front end with dual head lights. It was an all new one-year-only automobile. The top of the line Bel Air got a new one step up Impala in 1958. Impala's included $2,500.00 2 door hardtop and a $2,734.00 convertible. A new Turbo Thrust V-8 was Chevy's first big block.
