Edsel Pacer, Ranger, Corsair & Citation
Ford Motor Co.
By 1958 an attempt to bridge the growing price gap between Ford and Mercury resulting in the introduction of the Edsel. The Edsel was named after Henry Ford ll's older brother who died in 1943.
The Edsel has been considered a failure but in some ways it was a fine American Automobile. All Edsel's had a 1930s looking grille with a modern and attractive rear horizontal tail fins and tail lights. Eighteen body styles were offered in 1958.
