Chevrolet Division of General Motors
The 1959 Chevrolet's were lower, wider and longer than ever before including one of the biggest tail fins to date. The tails fins were called "Spread Wing" and the tail lights were called "cat's-eye" in some Chevy advertising.
1959 models included the Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala and Station Wagons. Impala body styles included a 4 door sedan, sports hardtop coupe, sport hardtop sedan and convertible coupe. Impala's were equipped with 6 cylinders and V-8's.
