The Ford Motor Co. discontinued the Ford Model F first introduced in 1905. The Ford Model K had a new body, a longer 120 inch wheelbase, and other improvements were made over the 1906 model.

New for 1907 was the Model R Runabout replacing the Ford Model N in April. The Model R was then revised in August 1907 becoming the Model S.

The only radical change in the 1907 Ford Model K is in the body design. The rear seating area was increased by a six inches along with the wheel base. The Model K engine power was increased by 20 percent.
