For the 1908 model year The Ford Motor Co continued to produce the Model K, Model N, Model R and Model S until production of the Model T began in October 1908.

1908 production was 6,015 and 10,202 according to some sources which included early Model T Fords. Also see 1907 Ford Models

By the end of 1908 The Ford Motor Company built more than twice as many American Automobiles as any other automobile factory in the world.

The Model K was unchanged for 1908. It was equipped with a inline six cylinder with a displacement of 405 cubic inches. It was rated at 40 horsepower. It's wheelbase was 120 inches. A $2,800.00 two door four passenger Touring Car and a $2,800.00 Gentleman's Roadster was built.

The Model N was unchanged for 1908. It continued to offer nickel hardware and quarter circle fender. It was built as a two passenger Runabout and sold for $600.00. In addition a two passenger Landauette was built. The 1908 Ford Model N was equipped with a four cylinder 149 cubic inch 3 3/4 inch x 3 5/8 inch engine rated at 15-18 horsepower. It's wheelbase was 84 inches.

The 1908 Ford Model R was a more elaborate version of the Ford Model N. It had footboards instead of carriage steps. The Model R was equipped with an inline four cylinder engine that developed 18 horsepower and had a new mechanical lubrication system. A $750.00 two passenger Model R Runabout was built. It's wheelbase was 84 inches.

The 1908 Ford Model S had a single seat tonneau on the rear. It had the same mechanical features as the Model R. The appearance of the dash was rounded as seen in the image above. It's wheelbase was 84 inches. Ford used the same four cylinder engine in the Model S as the Model R. The 1909 Ford Model T followed the 1908 Fords.
