1921-1922

The Globe Motors Co. of Cleveland, Ohio was formed to produce a medium priced four cylinder American Automobile. Charles H. Davies, who is responsible for the design of the Globe Four, is president and general manager. He was formerly vice president and general manager of the Supreme Motors Corp.

The Supreme Motors Corp. furnished the four cylinder engine for the Globe automobile. (See below)

1921 Globe Four - Five Passenger Touring Car

The Globe four was a medium weight automobile of 105 inch wheelbase. It is powered by a Supreme four-cylinder single block "L" head engine with a 3 inch bore and 5 inch stroke developing 39 horsepower at 1,600 revolutions. Other features included a Delco starting system, Warren three speed transmission, Eaton axles and Gemmer steering gear.

Two body styles were built, a five passenger Touring Car and two passenger Roadster. Other features were Firestone cord tires, 32 inch x 4 inch Firestone wooden wheels and a "Never Leak" top. Finish of the Globe was Holland blue with wheels either in natural wood or English vermilion. The 1921 Globe was priced at $2,000.00 and had special appeal for the business man, because it combines medium size, facility of handling and economy of operation with comfort and distinctive appearance.

We are looking for additional Globe automobile photographs or vintage Globe advertising for this web page. In the mean time enjoy this Supreme Engine ad from a vintage 1921 magazine.
