1915 Houk Wire Wheels
The most important single advance in automobile construction in the early 1900s was the wire wheel. One of the best wire wheels made were produced by Houk. The Houk Mfg. Company, Buffalo. N. Y., manufactured the Houk wire wheel, which was of the triple laced type. The hubs are made of pressed steel and combine lightness with great strength. The spokes are tightened while the wheel rests on a special jig, which renders it possible to make the rim absolutely concentric with the hub and square with the axle.
