The T. W. Gurley Company built an American Automobile in 1901 only. The Gurley was built in Meyersdale, PA and very few were built.

The Gurlry was a typical two passenger motor buggy with a air cooled single cylinder gasoline engine rated at 10 horsepower. Bicycle type wheels and tiller steering are the only specifications known.

In this advertisement the 1903 Longuemare Carburetor was built by the Holley Motor Co. of Bradford, PA. According to this advertisement the American, Buckmobile, Conrad, Crest, Freidman, Hoffman, Pan-Am, Pierce and Pope-Robinson are among the high grade American Automobiles using their carburetors. This Holly carburetor was also used on the popular Rutenber engines. Their claim was 16,000 in use over 5 years.
