The engine used on the Hansen was a single cylinder four cycle 4 1/2 inch bore 5 3/4 inch producing 6 horsepower. The small Hansen engine was mounted under the seat.

1906 R. E. Dietz Oil Lamp Magazine Ad According to this 1906 Dietz Oil Lamp magazine ad - "The Dietz Oil Lamp was a high grade of workmanship and style." In addition it said that "Your Touring Car Lacks Something If Not Equipped with these Lamps." Price for the Peerless W was $8.00 for white, green or red glass windows. The Peerless R lamp had a list price of $7.00. No mention of what type of material these oil lamps were made of. However, we can assume they were brass oil lamps.
