Including a small runabout he called The Trojan with a double cylinder engine. The three Howard Chainless models were equipped with water cooled engines of two, three and four cylinders and 12, 18 and 24 horsepower respectively. The transmission was designed by Howard with three speeds forward and reverse. The top speed of the larger engine was 40 MPH. Also see the Howard (1903-1905)
1903 Howard Chainless Tonneau The body was supported with on full elliptic springs. Wood artillery wheels were used 30 inches x 3inches. Brake drums were provided on the rear wheels
