This American Automobile is considered a Midget and they were very popular in the 1940s and 1950s. The IMP was made by The International Motor Products Company of Glendale, CA. The IMP had a wheelbase of 63 inches, 120 inches long and weighed only 475 pounds.

The IMP was a two passenger fiberglass car made in only one model but was available in several colors.

The IMP was equipped with a air cooled rear mounted 7 1/2 horsepower Gladden engine. This car produces a maximum speed of 35 M.P.H. In 1949 this little car cost about $500.00.

In 1947 The Midget car market was dominated by Crosley, Playboy and Bobbi-car. The Playboy was produced by The Playboy Motor Car Mfg. Co. of Buffalo, NY and the Bobbi-car was made in Birmingham, AL by the Bobbi-car Motor Car Corp. All three Midget cars were equipped with four cylinder engines.
