The Kensington Automobile Mfg. Co. is an early 1900s American Automobile company that produced cars powered by gasoline, steam and electricity. Steam and Electric's were similar in appearance to their gas powered automobiles. All three were very simple two passenger Runabouts. In 1902 a gasoline automobile with a 12 horsepower two cylinder Kelecom engine was introduced and the following year a $2,500.00 Touring Car.

This 5 passenger 1903 Kensington Touring Car was finished in Claret with red running gear and all trimmings were brass. Features of the 1903 Kensington included a two cylinder 12 horsepower engine with a bore of four inches and a stroke of 4 3/4 inches. Sliding gear transmission with three forward speeds and reverse. Speeds obtainable ranged from 2 1/2 to 37 miles per hour.

Other features include cone-shaped clutch, leather grip, shaft drive, rear live axle, jump spark ignition, dry battery, Longuemare carburetor, transmission shaft brakes and band brakes on rear wheel, 28 inch front wheels and 3 inch tires, 30 inch rear wheels and 3 1/3 tires, 8 gallon gas tank could 80 to 100 miles.
