This American Automobile was built by a sporting goods company that decided to manufacture cars and trucks. The H. J. Koehler Co. was formed by H. J. Koehler who also owned The H. J. Koehler Sporting Goods Co. to produce the Koehler automobiles and trucks.

The Koehler was a $1,650.00 five passenger Touring Car equipped with a four cylinder 40 horsepower engine.

Advertised as the Koehler Montclair Torpedo De Luxe body, this automobile was $3,000.00 in appearance , power, performance and quality for a price of $1,650.00. Features included a four cylinder engine that developed 40 horsepower, three speed transmission, shaft drive, mohair top and 32 inch wheels and tires.

The 1917 Koehler one ton truck built by the H. J. Motors Corporation of Newark, New Jersey. The H. J. Motors Corporation was formed in 1915 after The H. J. Koehler Co. stopped production of the Koehler automobile.  Priced at $895.00 the Koehler truck was a very good American truck. It was equipped with a four cylinder engine that developed 35 horsepower, torbensen internal gear drive axle and a 129 inch wheelbase.
