These men organized the Lion Motor Car Company in 1909 by buying the Gyroscope automobile patents and machinery including unfinished cars and spare parts from Blomstrom Mfg. Co. Detroit, Michigan. The Gyroscope was only produced by The Lion Motor Car Co. in 1909. There after The Lion was produced. The 1912 model cost $1,600 and came equipped with internal expanding brakes with 14 inch drums. In 1912 the plant caught on fire and destroyed about two hundred cars, and ultimately ended the Lion Motor Car Company.
