Lyons-Knight
The Lyons-Atlas Company

The Lyons-Atlas Company of Indianapolis purchased the Atlas Engine Works in 1912. The Atlas Engine Works were an older builder of 2 cycle engines. From there factory the Lyons-Atlas Co. built an American Automobile called the Lyons-Knight.

In addition Lyons-Knight engines and Lyons-Knight Diesel engines were produced. The Knight Engine was an internal combustion engine designed by Charles Yale Knight.

The Lyons-Knight automobiles were equipped with four or six cylinder four cycle engines with a 4 1/2 inch bore and a 5 1/2 inch stroke. These Lyons-Knight engines had all of the best features of the American Knight type engines.

The Lyons-Knight automobiles were a Model K that included a five passenger Touring Car, seven passenger Touring Car, Closed Sedan and a Closed Limousine. The various Lyons-Knight models had wheelbases up to 130 inches. A five passenger Touring Car was priced at $2900.00 with the Limousine priced at $4300.00.
