The M. P. M. Automobile & The Mount Pleasant Motor Co.

The first M. P. M. automobiles were equipped with four cylinder engines, four speed transmissions, Remy ignition, electric starter, floating type rear axle and electric lights. The cost of this 112 inch wheelbase M. P. M. was $850.00. In addition to this car production of a 44 horsepower eight cylinder was planned. Selling for $1095.00 this automobile had a 113 inch wheelbase and features common with the four cylinder model.

Money problems began to plague the company during 1915. Only 10 M. P. M.'s were built and sold before The Mount Pleasant Motor Co. went into receivership as addition capital could not be raised.
