The Mahoning Automobile & The Mahoning Motor Car Co.

The method of cooling the engine cylinders was a unique feature of the automobiles made by the Mahoning Motor Car Company. The air cooling system which was devised by Charles T Gaither. It consisted of a number of triangular shaped loops of 3/32 inch copper wire which were strung on 1/16 inch thick x 1/4 inch wide copper ribbon. The ribbon was then securely wound around the cylinder walls.

A side entrance Touring Car, Runabout, Stanhope and Delivery cars were produced by The Mahoning Motor Car Co. The wheelbase was 82 inches, 28 inch artillery type wheels with 3 1/2 inch tires. The total weight of the Mahoning was 1300 pounds.
