The Moyea was built under a Rochet-Schneider license. The bodies were built by Springfield Metal Body Co. Springfield, MA. The 1903 chassis were built by the Alden Sampson Mfg. Co. of Pittsfield, MA who subsequently purchased The Consolidated Motor Co. in order to obtain the license from the French Manufacturer.
1902 Moyea Touring Car The Moyea was equipped with a powerful water cooled four cylinder rated at 16 horsepower. The bore was 4 inches and stroke was 5 1/2 inches. Jump spark ignition was employed, the current being supplied by a storage battery of two cells. A four speed transmission was used along with shaft drive.
1903 Moyea Touring Car A five passenger Touring Car was the only model built. It had a rear entrance tonneau. The Moyea had beautiful workmanship and finish, high grade materials and simplicity of mechanical design. The 1903 Moyea used Gray Davis automobile lamps of the type shown below.
