Nyberg Automobile Works
Anderson, IN & Chattanooga, TN

Swedish born Henry Nyberg built an American Automobile called the Nyberg under the firm name "Nyberg-Waller Automobile Works". Nyberg built single cylinder and two cylinder Runabouts in a small Chicago, Illinois factory in 1903 and 1904. From 1905 to 1910 Henry Hyberg repaired Automobiles and sold used vehicles in Chicago.

In 1910 Nyberg moved to Anderson, IN and reorganized as The Nyberg Automobile Works. Nyberg also had a factory in Chattanooga, Tennessee where a Nyberg automobile is displayed at the Coker Tire Company. He designed and produced many models of automobiles, trucks, fire engines from 1911 to 1913. Even race cars as a Nyberg was entered in a 1913 Indianapolis 500 race. Nyberg sold The Nyberg Automobile Works in 1914 to A. C. Barley of Streator, Illinois, retiring to Sweden.

This 1912 automobile magazine ad describes the Nyberg Six as a "A Master Mechanic's Masterpiece". At least 4 models of American Automobiles were produced by The Nyberg Automobile Works. A seven and five passenger Touring car, a Tourabout and a Roadster. Six cylinder Rutember engines rated at 45 and 60 horsepower were options. A little six with 40 Horsepower sold for $1750.00 and a large six with 60 horsepower, $2000.00. All had a 138 inch wheelbase, Warner transmissions, electric starting and lighting.
