The Palmer Automobile Manufacturing Company produced an American Automobile called the Palmer. Sales office was located at 731 Scofield Building, Cleveland, Ohio and their factory was located in Ashtabula, Ohio.

The Palmer was built by Herbert Palmer and G. Cathart in 1906 only.

The Palmer was a two passenger High Wheeled Runabout. All working mechanism was accessible from the back leaving the portion under the seat free for packages. The Palmer had a 60 inch wheelbase, fitted regularly with 2 inch solid tires or pneumatics at an increased price. The Palmer Automobile Mfg. Co. claimed 300 automobiles built in 1906.

The 1906 Palmer Runabout was equipped with a vertical single cylinder two cycle water cooled engine that developed 9 horsepower. A driving shaft extended forward beyond the center of the Palmer and on this were rope pulleys. On the shaft between the pulleys is a sliding clutch which engages teeth in the pulleys to furnish the forward and reverse changes. Power is transmitted from these driving pulleys by an endless rope around two large pulleys on a jack shaft.
