The R. & V. Knight is an American Automobile produced by William H. VanDerVoort and Orlando J. Root. These two men made automobiles in Moline, Illinois from 1904 to 1924. First as the Moline in 1904 and then the Moline-Knight in 1914.

Over the years the Moline, Moline-Knight and the R. & V. Knight was of outstanding quality.

Most R. & V. Knight automobiles were painted blue and were equipped with windshield, speedometer, ammeter, voltmeter, motormeter, tire pump, electric horn and 32 inch tires and demountable rims.

The R. & V. Knight was sold with a complete line of body styles ranging in price from $2,500.00 to $4,00.00. Models included a seven passenger Touring Car, seven passenger Sedan, four passenger Coupe, four passenger Sport and a two passenger Roadster.

This American Automobile was equipped with a powerful R. & V. Knight six cylinder engine that developed almost 30 horsepower. This engine was smooth, silent more powerful than other six cylinders of the 1920s.

The Advertisement above claimed that - "The R & V Knight chassis and body are of masterful design and construction, as carefully built as the motor characterized by those refinements in equipment which lift the car from common place".
