The first S.G.V. automobiles were made by The Acme Motor Car Co. in 1911 and 1912. The S.G.V. cars were equipped with four cylinder engines that developed 22.5 horsepower, four speed transmission and shaft drive. All car were priced at $2,200.00.
S.G.V. - The Acme Motor Car Co. By 1913 the S.V.G. was produced in six different body styles. A four, five and seven passenger Touring Cars, Sedan, Roadster and a Limousine that sold for $3,850.00.
S.G.V. - The S.G.V. Co. In 1913 the S.G.V. introduced the Vulcan Electric Gear Shift with four forward speed. This transmission was actuated by push buttons mounted in the steering wheel.
