In 1916 The Lehr Motor Co. of Saginaw, MI was formed to produce an American Automobile called The Saginaw 8, a Touring Car to be sold for $1050.00. The designer and general Manager was Harry D. Mackey, president was William M. Guilder.

The Saginaw was equipped with Massnick-Phipps V-8 engine. Only a few Saginaw 8's were made including two with 4 cylinder engines.
