This 1902 Steam Runabout shown below was equipped with a two cylinder side valve link motion engine of 2 ½ and 3 ½ inch bore and stroke. A 48 gallon tank supplied water to a 17 inch water tube boiler working at 150 PSI supplied steam. The fuel tank held 14 gallons of gasoline.
1902 Binney-Burnham Steam Car The maker of the Binney-Burnham claimed "It climbs steep grades at a very fast pace and will stand much abuse on hard roads." Other features included 3 ½ inch tires on 30 inch wood wheels, a burner of special design, enclosed differential, McNutt steering gear and double acting handbrake.
1909 R. E. Dietz Company This 1909 R. E. Dietz tail lamp features the "Dainty Tail Lamp" that was a Positive Danger Signal. The R. E. Dietz Lamps were used on many early American Automobiles, Cyclecars, Electric Cars and Steam Cars including the Binney-Burnham Steam Car.
