The Cloughley was an American Steam Car built by The Cloughley Motor Vehicle Co. in Parsons, Kansas only in 1902 and 1903.

Robert H. Cloughley did experiment with a Steam Car as early as 1896 at Cherryvale, Kansas and built the first steam driven automobile west of the Mississippi.

The Cloughley was equipped with a 8 horsepower two cylinder engine that was chain driven to rear wheels. Steam at 175 pounds was provided from a 19 inch water tube boiler. Shown below is the only known body style, a four passenger Surrey.

Shown below the Cloughley was also available as a two cylinder gasoline powered American Automobile that looked very much like it's more popular Steam Car  counterpart. It was chain driven, had a jump spark ignition, with a autosparker, slide gear transmission and sold for $1,500.00.
