In the advertising above The Triumph Motor Car Co. claimed "The highest possible grade of material and workmanship with may exclusive features!" One feature unique to the American Automobile industry was the "Self Contained, Automatic Self Starting Motor". The Triumph claimed that they had the only self starting engine in the world. This starting method stored exhaust gases in a tank under the seat at pressures of 125 psi. These gases could be bled back into the cylinders for starting.
