1907 Walter Produced as open five and seven passenger Touring Cars and a Limousine, the Walter was an expensive and well designed American Automobile. Walter Touring Cars featured a vertical water cooled four cylinder 4 1/2 inch bore x 5 inch stroke engine that developed 30 horsepower, jump start ignition, double sliding gear three speed transmission, bevel gear drive, 110 inch wheelbase, 56 tread and 34 x 4 1/2 inch tires. Price in 1907, $3,500.00.
1908 Walter Limousine The Walter Limousine was equipped with a four cylinder engine. A 40 horsepower Walter Limo was priced at $5,000.00 and the 50 horsepower cost $5,500.00 in 1908. Advertising claims for the Walter included "The Aristocrat of American Motordom" and "The Car of a Hundred Reasons". Walter production continued until 1909 in Trenton, NJ. In 1910 The Walter Automobile Co. factory was taken over by The Mercer Automobile Co.
