The Fulton FA-2 & FA-3 Airphibian was an American Automobile-Airplane first manufactured in the late 1940s. The Airphibian was designed by Robert E. Fulton, Jr. to drive on a highway and fly in the sky.
It was equipped with an Franklin air cooled six cylinder engine rated at 165 horsepower. The Airphibian could do 55 MPH on the road and 120 MPH in the air.
The Airphibian had an aluminum body, independent suspension and fabric wings that were easily attached to the fuselage. The Airphibian came with a trailer to carry the wings and tailed. Early financial problems forced the Airphibian out of business.
