By 1918 there were more than 2,250,000 Ford automobiles in service. While there were nearly 200 different makers of American Automobiles in 1918, Ford produced more than one half of all automobiles on the road.

With only very minor changes, the Ford Model T for 1918 was a continuation of the 1917 Ford Model T.

The 1918 line up consisted of a Touring Car, Runabout, Sedan, Coupe, Town Car and a Delivery Car. In addition 37,648 chassis, 41,105 truck chassis and 2,163 Military Ambulances were produced by The Ford Motor Co.

The 1918 Ford Model T three door five passenger Touring Car was priced at $360.00. Over 432,500 Touring Cars were produced. A optional top was furnished at an additional price. All Touring Car were equipped with a four cylinder water cooled engine.

73,559 1918 Ford Model T Runabouts were produced at a cost of $345.00 each. All Model T's were painted black and had black fenders. Even the chassis was painted black. The fuel tank was cylindrical and mounted under the front seat. Not shown is a 1918 Ford Model T Coupe that was priced at $505.00 and 14,771 were made. The Town Car was discontinued during calendar year 1917 and only 2,142 were made.

The four cylinder engine used on all 1918 Model T was described as a L head cast iron block with a bore of 3 3/4 inches and a stroke of 4 inches. The compression ratio was 4.0:1. It's displacement was 176.7 cubic inches, typical of all Model T's engine produced prior to 1918. The 1919 Ford Model T followed the 1918 Fords.
