This American Automobile was built only in 1917, the same year that the United States entered World War I. Labor and material problems limited automobile production in the U. S. for several years. Including production of the Majestic by The Majestic Motor Co. of New York, NY.

Only a $1,650 five passenger Touring Car was built by The Majestic Motor Co.

The plush interiors made of the highest grade leather were the Majestic claim to fame. In addition it had other unusual features that included a cigar lighter, ice box and two bulb headlights. In addition the 1917 Majestic Touring Car had thick carpeting with a waterproof side, the back of the front seat was paneled with mahogany with compartments built in, the center section of the front seat was a folding table. The most outstanding feature was the rounded Victoria top and it was equipped with a powerful 283 cubic inch V-8 engine.

The Majestic V-8 was made by the Colonial Motors Co. A three plate clutch and three-speed gearbox was used. The remaining drive parts were conventional, being through a Hotchkiss drive in connection with three-quarter elliptic springs and flexible propeller shaft mounting with universals at each end.
