The New Era was equipped with a single cylinder engine that developed 7 horsepower. The engine was found under the seat. Total weight of the New Era was 950 pounds, had tiller steering, was easy to start and noiseless. The gas tank held three gallons of gasoline sufficient for a ten hour run at speed from 5 to 25 miles per hour.

We are looking for additional New Era automobile photographs or vintage New Era advertising for this web page. In the mean time enjoy this Carter ad from a vintage 1909 magazine.
